August Audio Update Recap!

Hey guys! Just a quick recap from last week and also going over some of the questions i’ve been asked in the past. Hope you enjoy! Ive also updated some of the pages on the site, the live stream page has been updated with a time sheet so everyone can see what time ill be on in their own time zone.

August Audio Update!

Yo yo! Hey everyone, it’s time for another audio update! I figured it’s been a while since our last update and I wanted to keep you guys informed on the mods current situation. Basically in a nutChell things are going pretty smooth and I’ve started to plan out the next 5 months to make sure I finish certain sections of the mod on certain dates. Keeping you guys informed is one of my top priorities so make sure you join the steam group to get updates and announcements when I post them on the site.

Late July update!

So I had a small vacation and now things are back on track. I’ve been going crazy designing new puzzles and working on new story elements. I have way more then enough footage for a trailer … so if i can find time in the future I will be making one. I do want to have my main logo created and rendered before then. I guess we’ll have to see when that will take place. Until then!

Medical Arm - Concept

Just wanted to show you guys some stuff i’ve been trying to rapid prototype. I’ve taking one of my cut scenes and started to plan it out. So far I’ve prototyped a temp model for my medical arm and got some images together for reference. Key parts of the images are circled in red. Going for a small arm with a few joint so it’s easy to animate.

And Finally, here is a render test I made really quick to get a feel for how this type of arm might flow in a scene.

I’ll post more images on this once I model out the actual real arm.

Oh Snap! June (late night) update!

Ok guys here are some more screens of work in progress stuff that i’ve been crafting together over the last 2 weeks. I really want to get things done right! I’ve been going through and designing out all my story points for the mod. After I finish those if I have more time left I will make more puzzles :) . I still have quite a few areas and puzzle ideas that I would love to explore.

Also, not sure if I mentioned this (besides in the post below) but I am really enjoying the live stream. I’ve had a few people stop in and ask me questions about Chell’s Legend. It’s pretty cool to actually get to talk to the fans as I’m working on the project XD . Not only that but when you watch the stream you get a super sneak peak look at the mod and all it’s behind the scenes goodness. Just saying…. if you want behind the scenes… you can’t get any better than that!

So yeah… I just wanted to say… I love you guys! Thanks for the continuing support! Also, don’t be shy… ask me any questions you might have about Chell’s Legend and ill get to them asap!

Hey everyone! I’m here to bring you a quick update on things once again. I have been working on some brand new areas for the actual finished version of the mod. These new areas were going to wait until I tested the mod out but it seems I don’t have too much time left and must start on them ASAP!. should take me a month to get them up to speed and it should add another good chunk of gameplay to the mod. I’m excited to see what everyone thinks! Here is a in editor screenshot of one of the new unfinished sections!

YO YO! it’s time for another update from me on how things are going! Looks like next week just might be the time! I smell a fresh batch of pre-alpha-test cooking in the oven and it smells sooooo gooooooood. Sign up sheet will be on interlopers most likely on Monday. I’ll post a link here when I get things going.

Aight brodoskis! Here is the mundo mini checklist I have to finish before I can finish my Pre-Alpha build. I will update this list every time I finish an item on it. Looking forward to getting this build out into those testers hands real soon!

  • Check List - (Items are in no particular order)
    • Big ticket items

      • No Progression stoppers (can play from start to finish)
      • No missing files in final build ( Textures / Models / Sounds )
      • Each puzzle / room is at a decent polished
      • Make sure mod unlocks correct levels when playing through
      • Create a new Chell’s Legend installer
      • Create Hospital room
      • Split main map into smaller maps / complete transitions
      • Do a final  lighting compile for all maps

      • Do a final cubemap compile for all maps
        • part 1
        • part 2
    • Smaller Items

      • Remove old vo / temp vo
      • Make new read me file
      • Remove old intro
      • Place temp audio collectables
      • Add accent wall to each chamber :D!

      • Do Lightmap scale check (remove uneeded high lightmaps)
      • Hit Alt plus P and FIXED IT!

    Ok I added some stuff and fixed some stuff, I’m actually really close to crossing a lot of this stuff off the list. woot!
